What We Do With Gutters
Ridgeline Western Construction self-performs all structural preparation for gutter projects: we remove deteriorated fascia boards, repair or replace compromised eaves, and ensure the underlying framing is sound for supporting new gutter runs. When tearing off old gutters reveals soft wood, we cut back to solid material, replace with primed lumber, and secure the attachments into rafter tails for strength. This way, gutters mount onto stable backing—not patchwork or rotten material—so drainage does its job over the long haul.
The actual installation and sealing of gutter systems and downspouts are handled by specialty subcontractors under our contract. We line up the work sequence so that fascia repairs, drip edge installation, and gutter runs go in the right order, with no handoff delays or missed details. Permits aren’t usually needed for runoff systems alone, but if we touch exterior framing, our process accounts for required inspection.
We closely check slopes and alignment, especially on complex roof shapes or where multiple valleys drain into one run.
