What We Build In Duplexes
Ridgeline Western Construction tackles duplex framing head-on—opening walls and floors when the structure crosses both units, rebuilding shared framing where water, movement, or fire has caused damage, and reinforcing assemblies to carry the real load. Party walls and floor assemblies are traced end to end before any structural change, with engineering coordination if a wall removal or addition changes how loads are carried. If repairs involve both units, we open up the full affected area, replace or sister framing using dimensional or engineered lumber, and restore any required fire and sound separation.
Every licensed trade—plumbing, electrical, HVAC—runs as part of our contract. We coordinate their schedules, pull the city permits, and manage every inspection through to sign-off. In occupied units, we set work hours, plan access so each side stays livable, and minimize downtime from utility shutoffs. When attics, crawlspaces, or mechanical chases run between units, Steven Moreno maps those routes before demo to avoid mid-job surprises and to keep both units safe. Opened fire-rated assemblies are rebuilt to code, and hardware or beam upgrades—like LVL or Simpson Strong-Tie connectors—are deployed where the structure calls for extra support.

Vinyl siding replacement removes old or damaged panels and installs new siding to restore protection and appearance. Ridgeline Western Construction handles inspection, removal, framing checks, and the full installation process under one contract. We review underlying sheathing and water barriers before new panels go on. You get siding that meets code, is backed up by proper flashing, and is ready for weather and inspection.
Duplex Construction
Duplex construction means building two attached or side-by-side living units with separate entries and utilities.
